What can I do on this site?

Through SpineGateway.net, you will have access to The European Spine Journal, its associated content, and a wealth of resources including RSS feeds when new articles or alerts are published to the site. You can view article abstracts in different categories of the journal. Categories include Online First, Current Issues, and Archived Issues. You can also search for articles across the site through general or advanced search and share abstracts with colleagues.

Why do I need to sign in to this site?

While most features of the site do not require sign in—including viewing abstracts and submitting a manuscript- you must be logged in to access the full text of the journal. Upon logging in, you will be re-directed to SpringerLink to access the full text.

How do I register for this site?

If you already have an account with EuroSpine, you can login to SpineGateway.net with your society member user name and password.

I have access through my institution, what should I do?

If you have access through your institution, you may click on the following "If you have institutional access, please click here" at the bottom of the abstract page. Once you have done this during a single session, SpineGateway.net will not ask you to verify again that you are coming through an institution.

How do I search for an article?

There are three different ways that you can search for an article:

  1. General Search: Use the general search box at the top of all pages which allows you to enter titles, author names, or free text. Through this general search you may also specify the journals you would like to search within.
  2. Advanced Search: Use the advanced search link below the general search button and you can perform a more specific search across multiple criteria.
  3. Keyword Search: The keywords tab displays the top keywords associated with all articles within SpineGateway.net. When clicking on a specific keyword from that page, you will be directed to a search results page with all articles for which that keyword is associated. If the keyword you are looking for is not on the keywords page, you may use the advanced search and specify the keyword within the search criteria.

How do I sign up for RSS feeds?

It’s simple, just click on the RSS icon in the Quick Links box which appears on every page. Your first feed will include the last 30 days worth of new articles. Subsequent updates will then include any new Online First Articles added to SpineGateway.net.
